The City initiated application is to update Zoning By-law No. 79-200. The area affected by these amendments is shown on the location map to the right. The following is a general description of the amendments proposed:
· Adding and revising several definitions to reflect current zoning standards
· Introducing regulations for garbage enclosures in commercial, institutional, and industrial zones
· Updating provisions for nightclubs
· Updating provisions for the projection of balconies into side yards
· Updating regulations to permit model homes in the R4 zone
· Introducing regulations for back-to-back townhouse dwellings in the R4 zone and revising existing regulations accordingly
· Amending amenity space regulations in the R5 zone to include a stacked townhouse dwelling unit
· Technical revisions for clarity
