Notice of Temporary Road Closure - Gallinger Street

Effective for Monday, June 29, 2026 –

Please be advised that Gallinger Street,  a switch intersection between Portage Road and Drummond Road,  will be temporarily closed for work related to the Portage Road and Gallinger Street Road Reconstruction Project.

To facilitate the work, the intersection closure will begin at 6:00am on Monday, June 29th, 2026 and extend for one (1) day until approximately 6:00pm, weather permitting.

To accommodate all traffic, a detour via William Street will be available to access Portage Road in either direction.  Note that Portage Road northbound will remain open with single-lane northbound traffic maintained toward Thorold Stone Road.

The City of Niagara Falls will make every effort to minimize the restoration time and appreciates your patience.
