Notice Information
The City of Niagara Falls will begin its annual fire
hydrant flushing program on March 30, 2026, and this will continue through the
fall. This program is part of our routine
preventative maintenance to help maintain high water quality and ensure
adequate water flow throughout the system.
Flushing will begin in the area bordered by Dorchester
Road, Stanley Avenue, Thorold Stone Rd, and the north city limits (please refer
to the attached map for further details). Residents in these areas may experience temporary reductions in water
pressure and/or discoloured water during flushing operations. If discolouration
occurs, it can typically be resolved by running a cold water tap, preferably
the one closest to your water meter, for a short period of time.
If you have any questions, concerns, or experience
persistent water issues, please contact the Municipal Service Centre at
905-356-1355. The City’s
Annual Water Quality Report is available online at www.niagarafalls.ca or can be
viewed in person at the Municipal Service Centre, 3200 Stanley Avenue.
Thank you for your cooperation.
